ON Facebook Video Award 2021 Indonesia event, Pieter Lydian as Country Director of Facebook Indonesia, said that 97% of internet users in Indonesia watched videos in the past week. And there are more than 185 million people watching on Facebook Watch every month.

As a form of appreciation to the creators and publishers of Facebook videos, the Facebook Video Award 2021 Indonesia will be held on December 17, 2021. Apart from giving awards, this event was also enlivened by various great speakers, namely Pieter Lydian as Country Director for Facebook Indonesia, Lina Priscilla as CEO of StarHits, Tanboy Kun as content creator, Teddy Tjahjono as Director of Persib Bandung, and many more.

The talkshow session at this event invites internet users to gain insight into the growth of online video to businesses, understand the wide variety of content available, and learn how content creators and publishers are successful in using Facebook videos innovatively.

Thanks to the variety of content produced, ranging from drama, music, to comedy, RCTI won one of the awards at the 2021 Indonesia Facebook Video Award. The award won by RCTI is the Most Engaged Facebook Page in the Media Publishers category.

Lina Priscilla as CEO of StarHits also explained some of the strategies used to use Facebook videos to help achieve business goals. StarHits is a company engaged in digital media, part of PT Star Media Nusantara (Talent Management Agency) with parent company PT MNC Studios International Tbk [MSIN].

StarHits manages all digital assets belonging to the MNC Group as well as affiliated content creators. Lina Priscilla said that StarHits manages about 90 Facebook pages with various types of content, such as entertainment, news, infotainment, music, sports, and so on.

Presenting a large amount of content every month, of course content management and optimization is very important for StarHits. In distributing content, Lina Priscilla reveals several strategies she uses.

“Mostly our content has a minimum duration of 3 minutes, we apply this to maximize monetization, in the last few months we upload around 8,000-9,000 content per month, we ensure that all videos are not subject to copyright, then carry out 2-way communication with viewers, do promotions, and create communities on Facebook,” said Lina Priscilla as CEO of StarHits, quoted from the 2021 Facebook Video Award event on Friday (12/17/2021).
